Still Tootin' After All These Years
I have played the harmonica--rather poorly--since I was a kid. A few years ago I joined the Garden City Harmonica Club, a small group of people who get together every week at a local community center to play all types of music. I am also associated with SPAH--the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica. This is the premier organization for harmonica players. There are plenty of Web sites dedicated to playing the harmonica. My friend Danny Wilson's BassHarp Home Page is a good start.
My rendition of "Streets of Laredo" was played on a Huang Silvertone in C, recorded and edited on my Linux box using Broadcast 2000 and encoded to .mp3 with Lame. I hope it sounds OK.
